The Selena Group has supported the idea of organizing a trade mission to China, which led to its participation in, among others, the Poland-China Trade and Investment Forum in Shanghai. During the Economic Forum, with the participation of the President of Poland Andrzej Duda, Selena has presented its activities as an example of Polish-Chinese cooperation.
The Economic Forum was held from November 23 to 25. Selena had the opportunity to present its Polish export portfolio to strengthen cooperation between Chinese and Polish partners. The presentation of Selena’s business in China was conducted by Jakub Stępień – Director of Research and Development in Selena Nantong, a Chinese company within the Selena Group. The meeting was also attended by Juay Kiat Tan, Managing Director of Selena Nantong Building Materials Co. Ltd.
The Selena Group has been present on the Chinese market since 2007. Two years later, it began production and sale. Currently, the company has two production plants in Nantong and Foshan, manufacturing products destined for local markets and for export. In the Chinese market the Selena Group co-operates with over 100 distributors and partners and has three logistics centers in Foshan, Shanghai and Beijing.
“For many years, the Chinese market has attracted companies from around the world. It is also attractive for companies from Poland, including Selena Group. Our main priority today is to increase the market share and attract new users to our products. This year we strengthened our position in China by increasing sales by almost 40% compared to the previous year. Participation in the President’s economic mission will emphasize our contribution to the development of Polish-Chinese economic cooperation and to further promote Selena in China” explains Jarosław Michniuk, CEO of Selena FM SA.
