KRUK SA was established in 1998. For the last couple of years, the KRUK Group has been the largest player on the receivables management market working as a multiple service agency including a company dealing with amicable collection of consumer and commercial debts (in Poland KRUK SA, KRUK International s.r.l in Romania and KRUK International in Czech and Slovakia Republics). The company is also licensed to service receivables securitized by securitization funds. The KRUK Group also includes a firm of law advisors dealing with the initiation of judicial and enforcement proceedings (RAVEN Law Firm), a credit information bureau gathering data on payments and debtors (ERIF Register of Debtors BIG SA), a KRUK Detective Bureau and a securitization company. The Group specialises in comprehensive management of bulk receivables.

KRUK manages the receivables of banks, credit intermediaries, insurance companies, leasing companies, fixed-line and mobile telephone operators, cable TV providers, digital platform providers, utilities and FMCG companies. The company’s operating headquarters are based in Wrocław. The company has 8 regional branches and close to 50 representative offices across Poland. Current employment exceeds 1400. On 10 May 2011 KRUK SA made its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

 

History

In 1998 in Wrocław two partners, lawyers after a judge application Piotr Krupa and Wojciech Kuźnicki founds company KRUK Sp. z o.o. In the period of 1999-2003 company is growing rapidly, becoming an unquestionable leader on the receivelables management market. KRUK becomes No. 1 on the debt collection services market. Dedicated law firm established for the management of judicial proceedings and for the support of enforcement by court enforcement officers.
Piotr KrupaIn 2003 a private equity fund managed by Enterprise Investors invests US$12m and acquires 70% of KRUK shares. Full implementation of the in-house developed Delfin IT system dedicated for receivables collection management. Next year brings licence obtained from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration for the provision of detective services and for the establishment of the KRUK Detective Bureau.  Enterpise Investors provides additional US$ 10m for the company.
With 2005 KRUK goes public and joins KPF (Conference of Financial Companies in Poland). It establishes a securitization company Secapital S. á R.L. and the PROKURA fund.
In 2006 RAVEN Law Firm is being established. Also there’s a first full securitization of receivables closed to
gether with PROKURA fund. Next step for Group is international expansion. Regarding the strategy implementation in 2007 KRUK International S.R.L., receivables management company is being set up in Romania. In Poland Group launches a credit information bureau ERIF BIG S.A. (ERIF Register of Debtors).
In 2008 company takes in advantage a new strategy – with hybrid services, long-term receivelables management, introduction of pro-settelement strategy. 17 November 2009 for the first time Debt Free Day is being organized – an annual educational and social campaign targeted at people with debt.
2010 is the year of the first TV advertising campaign encouraging people with debts to contact the debt collector and promoting a pro-settlement attitude to debtors. It was the first tiem that receiveleables management company launched a TV campaign.
10 Mai 2011 – debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and on Catalyst (bond market). KRUK International s.r.o. (debt collection company set up in the Czech Republic) joins the KRUK Group.
