The Neurosoft company and researchers from the Wroclaw University of Technology have gained a grant worth more than 2 million zloty from the National Center for Research and Development work on an intelligent platform for monitoring inaccessible places.
A team of researchers from the Wroclaw University of Technology headed by Dr. Boguslaw Szlachetka and employees of Neurosoft will create drones with a stand-alone system to monitor inaccessible places like dams, tunnels and mine workings.
It will be possible to use the device for inspection of infrastructure facilities such as bridges, viaducts and pipelines. In this way the drones will replace people with climbing licenses, who have carried out such measurements so far, which was dangerous, time-consuming and expensive.
Employees of Neurosoft will develop a ground system and the use of the product for specific solutions. Neurospace is to be ready by December 2017. The platform will have a span of about a meter and will be able to carry five kilograms of equipment.
