Neurosoft and Wroclaw University of Technology students have created the best projects that crowned three years of study

neurosoft logo kwadratOn Monday, June 20, there was the fourth Conference of Team Projects during which new projects – equipment, software and applications – were presented by third year students of the Faculty of Electronics at Wroclaw University of Technology. The best projects were presented at the forum, and two of them were backed by Neurosoft.

The conference is the culmination of students’ hard work in the final semester. As a part of a module titled Team Project, each group of students, of no more than six people, worked on a different issue. The topics of their projects were implemented at the request of of external institutions and companies.

In total, there were more than 50 very diverse projects, of which 18 were awarded and presented during the conference. These include projects implemented by Neurosoft – NeuroEye and NeuroQuake.

The aim of the first of them was the creation of a prototype system whose job it is to detect a specific camera image of an object and determine its position. The task of object detection and identification was carried out on the basis of the use of deep learning neural networks.

The aim of the NeuroQuake project was to record the signals received by the geophones used to detect pedestrians. As part of this project a hardware platform enabling data acquisition was created. Data transferred to the PC is processed and on its basis human steps are detected.

After all presentations, researchers and the public chose the best projects. The most votes were won by the project “JustRace”, which is automated timekeeping at sporting events using mobile phones with an Internet portal presenting the results online.

The best project in the hardware category turned out to be “Smart Factory”, which is a virtual model simulating the production line responsible for packing bottles and palletizing boxes. In the category of software projects the jury recognized the remote management cluster system – “Janusz Computing Cluster.”
