CEO of the company dealing in debt collection and the head of Wrocław-based Research and Engineering Center stand in front of a chance to receive one of the most prestigious awards in Polish business, granted by Ernst and Young.
“Entrepreneur of the Year” title has been granted annually for ten years now, and the winners of this year’s edition will be announced on November 29th, during a gala held at the hall of Warsaw University of Technology. Awards are granted in three categories: Production, Services and New Business.
Among the nominees, there are also Mr. Krzysztof Kuliński, CEO of Research and Engineering Center, as well as Mr. Piotr Krupa, CEO of the debt collection business Kruk. Mr. Kuliński deals with IT and High-Tech sectors, as he develops software. The company run by him, has expanded foreign operations within the past 5 years, now being present in 17 countries. Moreover, Mr. Kuliński was also responsible for the opening of Siemens Software Development Centre in Wrocław.
Mr. Krupa is a co-founder of Kruk. Since 2003, he has run the company. A graduate from Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at University of Wrocław. Presently, Kruk is the largest Polish business specialized in debt collection and management of receivables. Kruk is also active abroad, namely in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. Last year the company has successfully entered the Warsaw Stock Exchange, which was recognized by an award for the most successful debut.
Winner of the contest will represent our country in an international contest for entrepreneurs – World Entrepreneur of the Year. The contest’s jury is mainly focused on the efficacy of candidates’ management, including also the financial results. Attention is also directed at the innovations candidates implemented, the strategy they developed, their involvement in international industry relations and their relationships with the closest environment.
The international final will include 50 businessmen and businesswomen. It will take place in Monte Carlo.
