KRUK SA received the Bulls and Bears award for the best debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2011. The prize is awarded in several categories by the editors of Gazeta Giełdy Parkiet to companies shining on the WSE.
Other nominees in the Debut of 2011 category were JSW, Coal Energy, BGŻ and Open Finance. The public offering of shares and KRUK’s debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange were a big success and one of the most important events in the company’s history so far. Among 38 companies making their stock exchange debut in 2011, the offer of KRUK was among the highest ones in terms of value. Investors have paid more than PLN 369 m for KRUK shares. The investors’ interest in KRUK shares was very big. Individual investors have placed subscriptions for a number of shares exceeding two times the number allocated for them. Financial institutions were even more willing to buy KRUK shares sold in a public offer. In accordance with current data, KRUK shares are in the portfolios of 11 out of 14 Open Pension Funds. As for a company from outside the WIG20 index, it is one of the best results on the WSE. KRUK shares also enjoyed a considerable interest among foreign investors which, given the cautious investing strategies prevailing last year, was pretty exceptional. The sale of shares had a big impact for the development of the company’s business in 2011. Direct proceeds were in excess of PLN 43 million. Funds obtained from the public offering were invested in debt purchases. „In 2011, among others thanks to financing of our investments from the share issue, we reinforced our leading position on the receivables management market in Poland and in Romania and we entered the Czech market,” says Piotr Krupa, KRUK SA CEO. „2012 is for us the time of preparations for new challenges.”
