AB, the largest distributor of IT, consumer electronics and appliances in Central and Eastern Europe, has taken 38th place on the 500 List – an annual listing of the leading Polish companies prepared by the editors of Rzeczpospolita.
In the 18th edition of the 500 List, the Wroclaw distributor rose five places, strengthening its position as number one among companies in the distribution industry in Poland. The published list of the leading Polish enterprises provides a comprehensive picture of the Polish economy, based on the results of companies that combined employ more than 1.45 million people.
“Our high position among leading Polish companies makes us very happy and confirms that AB group’s development strategy is bringing the desired results. We are already the third largest company in Lower Silesia, with which we have been associated for more than 25 years. And we still want to develop locally, as is shown by our last biggest investment – the newly opened innovative distribution center in Magnice near Wroclaw. Thanks to this new center we can efficiently operate in a challenging market distribution not only in Poland, but also in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where the subsidiaries of our group operate,” says Andrzej Przybyło, CEO of AB S.A.
In 2015, AB Group achieved sales of PLN 7.08 billion, serving more than 16 thousand trading partners. It employs around thousand people.
